Smoky Mountain University

As you gaze out at the view of Mt. LeConte from your Pigeon Forge Cabin or Gatlinburg cabin, here in the Great Smoky Mountains, see the mountain ranges stretch for miles and miles. The Smoky Mountains are a wonderful place to vacation, and one of the area groups working to improve the experience is Smoky Mountain University. Combining laughter with a love of the Great Smokies, Smoky Mountain University raises money to protect and improve the Smokies. From fund-raising Hike-A-Thons and the sales of T-shirts and other items with the "SMU" logo, Smoky Mountain University donates the funds to the Friends of the Smoky Mountains for improving the air quality in the park and preserving the national treasure that we have here.
