For the most complete adventure destination on the Big Pigeon River, head to the outpost for Wildwater Rafting. Definitely plan a rafting trip down the Pigeon River during your stay in our Gatlinburg cabin rentals or Pigeon Forge cabin rentals, and you will remember the thrill of the white water and the beauty of the river for years to come. Rafting trips occur Tuesday through Thursday and on Saturdays.

The Wildwater Rafting outpost is in Hartford, TN, and features over 10 rafting trips daily, a 40 foot climbing wall, a 50 foot adventure zip line, two volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, basketball, a kids adventure playground, a riverside picnic shelter, and gem mining! Very few other places offer this much adventure all while enjoying the scenic beauty of the Pigeon River.

The Upper Pigeon River rafting trip is ideal for first-timers, novices, and groups, as a guide rides in each raft to guide the group downstream. You’ll raft through about 15 Class 2 through 4 rapids over 5 miles of river. No previous experience is necessary, but you will want more adventures afterwards!

The Lower Pigeon River rafting trip is ideal for those seeking a slightly slower pace, as this trip promises 5 miles of Class 1 and 2 rapids. The whole family can participate and raft worry-free downstream with a guide safely located in every third raft. Again, no experience is necessary, but creating long-lasting memories is!
