The 2015, 16th Annual Dumplin Valley Bluegrass Festival starts Thursday for 3 days, September 17-19. This festival is one of the nicest you’ll ever attend, with a crowd of around 3,000, highly acclaimed talent performing, and a camper village that adds to some amazing jamming between shows.<\/p>\n

The festival is open to the public with day tickets available at the gate, and it’s extremely kid-friendly – children love it, so feel free to bring the whole family out. There’s no alcohol for sale at the festival, but plenty of home cooking style food – you won’t go hungry.<\/p>\n

This year the festival features Rhonda Vincent & The Rage, Lonesome River Band, Balsam Range, Rebecca Frazier, Jimbo Whaley and about a dozen other superb bluegrass performers and bands, including the outstanding young fiddle player, Carson Peters. Here’s the Festival Schedule<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The music fills the air from morning to late at night, between performances and jams, and includes plenty of country numbers but remains focused on bluegrass. Between artists and audience, the musical talent is stupendous, and while this is one of the least known bluegrass festivals in Tennessee, it’s absolutely one of the best.<\/p>\n

Attendees reserve their camper and camping spaces well in advance for the Dumplin Valley bluegrass Festival, and return every year for more. With extensive camper hookups and facilities as well as campsites with amenities, and plenty of room for basic tent camping as well, Dumplin Valley Farm offers comfort and hospitality for its festival guests.<\/p>\n

Dumplin Valley is a little off the beaten track, north of Sevierville in Kodak, close to the Smokies baseball stadium. If you want to take a break from the growling engines and slow-moving traffic of the Fall Rod Run in Pigeon Forge<\/a>, take your family on an easy drive up towards I-40 and experience a complete change of pace!<\/p>\n
