The 36th Annual Shades of the Past Hot Rod Roundup happens at Dollywood’s Splash Country Friday and Saturday, September 7-8, 2018. This event takes place each year on the first weekend after Labor Day, and is always a big hit.<\/p>\n

This is the show that makes you want a classic car of your own – over 200 gleaming paint jobs to gaze at, with awards in multiple categories, and some very\u00a0 special prizes. The show’s second prize<\/strong> is $10,000 – so what could be the 1st Prize? As always, it’s a ’32 Ford Hi-Boy Roadster<\/strong> – one of the most highly regarded of the many legendary classic cars of America.<\/p>\n

The event is very family-friendly, with no alcohol allowed. There are indoor restrooms and lots of parking. There are scooters to rent if getting around the grounds is a problem. You can also park free in Pigeon Forge and take the trolley out for a very low fare.<\/p>\n

The show will be open from 8 am – 5 pm, Friday and Saturday. <\/span>Spectator admission is $10 per person each day, and children under 12 are free.
