Victoria, blogger and creative force behind the lifestyle website Simply Today Life, loves to travel, and she understands how important family vacations are for strengthening familial bonds and giving everyone a chance to recharge through new experiences. She, along with her husband and two children, recently had the opportunity to visit the Smoky Mountains region and stay in one of our well-appointed cabins. The family had plenty of great things to say about their trip, and they can’t wait for their next opportunity to return!
The views from our Smoky Mountains cabins are always among the first things to take our guests’ breath away, and that was the case with Victoria as well. She loved that she could see the majestic, snow-capped mountains, and parts of the town of Gatlinburg right from their balcony. This meant they were able to get somewhat of a secluded experience for their cabin vacation, but were also close enough to many of the popular attractions in town.
Gatlinburg Falls Resort recently welcomed new guest Pam, a prolific writer and blogger from nearby Georgia, who came to stay with her family in one of our mountain cabins.
Pam, who saw an article in Southern Living Magazine listing Gatlinburg Falls Resort as “The #1 Best Family Resort in the Smokies” said she had visited Gatlinburg before, but never at such a luxurious location as Gatlinburg Falls. She enjoyed a wonderful stay at the cabin with her family and had these glowing remarks to make about the experience.
Recently, travel writer Niki, who blogs at Adventures of a Mid-Life Mommy, had the opportunity to visit the Smoky Mountains region and stay in one of our cabins. Niki is a Tennessee native and no stranger to the Smokies, but she was excited for this opportunity to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life for a spell and share some of the magic of the mountains with her family.
Niki has fond memories of the Smokies and Gatlinburg from when she was a child, so she is always delighted to know that the quaint, charming vibe of the town and the friendly residents are still hallmarks of the experience of visiting here. Those initial views of the mountain range in the distance as one crosses into Sevier County never fail to make her feel like she’s coming back home to a beloved place. She and her family stayed in our beautiful cabin named Cypress Lodge, which is a four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath unit with a fully furnished kitchen and all of the amenities that a family could need.

Anakeesta is one of the newest attractions in Gatlinburg, and is gaining attention thanks to its diverse collection of family-oriented activities and beautiful mountain views.
Opened in summer of 2017, Anakeesta is a mountain top destination with a shopping and dining village, a children’s tree house playground, a tree canopy walk, and several other activities, including ziplines, a coaster down the mountain, and a chair lift and gondola that goes both up and down.
