Landscaped niches and benches make it perfect for taking the weight off your feet between the adventures and just hanging out for a while, watching bungee jumpers, or wondering who just fell in the water at the Lumberjack Feud. And among the eclectic boutiques and shops around the square you can even find popcorn.

Dining

Lumberjack Square is surrounded by three notable restaurants, Smoky Mountain Brewery, Calhoun’s, and Five Guys, . The Brewery offers its own craft beers (as well as bar cocktails) and tastings, in a sports bar atmosphere, with burgers and sandwiches, dips, salads, pizzas and calzones – and fish and chips!

Calhoun’s leans to the steak-house style, as an upscale mountain lodge, offering steaks and chops, barbecue, burgers, plenty of sides and salads, and also fish and chips – your lucky day if you crave this fine meal at the Square.

Five Guys has made its fresh burgers and fries a signature meal across the nation – no freezers in the restaurant, only coolers – and other American sandwiches and menu items. It offers outside seating too that shares in the atmosphere of the Square. There are other specialty foods around the Square also.

Shopping

Lumberjack Square offers an eclectic mix of retail shops that ranges from Harley Davidson to Birkenstock, with gift shops, clothing, jewelry, decor and specialty shops, including over 200 flavors of popcorn – the best in the Smokies. The Shops at Lumberjack Square Facebook page is a good way to keep up with the latest offerings. There’s also a unique art gallery of long standing, as well as a movie theater and a mini-golf course to add to the variety here.

Adventure

Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud is a huge draw for Lumberjack Square and the venue anchors the shopping center. The current venue highlights a re-envision of an earlier show that was performed indoors. Today’s Lumberjack Feud show – which debuted in 2018 – takes place outdoors in a 350-set grandstand theater that is outfitted for rain or shine

Formerly known as Walden’s Landing Old Town Square, the shopping complex was renamed to Lumberjack Square when Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud opened.

Along with watching the authentic lumberjack competitions which include all sorts of physical feats, visitors can also head to the adventure park and try their own hand at challenges. Fun adventures are found here, and include a zip line roller coaster (first in the country), an obstacle course, tree climbing, log rolling, bungee jumping, and much more! Definitely not your average adventure park experience.
