Easter weekend 2017 in the Smoky Mountains brings excitement, celebration and worship. Here’s what’s happening and where to find it.
Kids, get some sleep on Friday night because Saturday morning, April 15, 2017, the Easter Egg hunt gets underway at 10:30 am in Pigeon Forge. The hunt is in Patriot Park – always a great place to visit and take a breather from the rest of the bustle on the strip.
If you want to take the kids on an Easter Egg Hunt and to meet the Easter Bunny, then Pigeon Forge gets you the earliest start on Saturday morning, March 26. It’s an excuse to dress the kids up cute, take photographs that last forever, and get everyone all excited. Best of all, the events are Free.
It’s Easter time in the Smoky Mountains in the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge area, and as always, there’s a lot going on.
Arts and crafts are never far from the surface in this part of the world, carrying forward much of the Appalachian history and tradition of the region. Thursday through Saturday, April 2-4, marks another annual Great Smoky Easter Arts & Crafts Show. (more…)
